Located on an historic trail used by pioneers in their journey to tame the West, Darnall’s Gun Works & Ranges offers a wide range of facilities and services to meet the needs of todays shooters. In this historic setting, the shooter can learn and expand their skills in an environment focused on today’s real world situations.
For more than 100 years, Darnall’s Gun Works & Ranges has been a family-owned cornerstone of the Central Illinois shooting community. What began in 1923 as Bloomington Gun Company, founded by Ron Darnall’s grandfather as a small gunsmith shop in downtown Bloomington, evolved over generations into the full-service facility it is today. In 1984, the business moved to its current location and was renamed Darnall’s Gun Works & Ranges, expanding its services and establishing both indoor and outdoor shooting ranges.
Throughout four generations, the Darnall family has remained focused on craftsmanship, safety and building a place where shooters are treated with respect and feel part of a lasting community.
